About Aaron

Aaron James R. San Pedro is a 19-year old buddy. As of this writing, he is an incoming college senior at the University of the Philippines-Manila Bulacan State University-Malolos taking up Bachelor of Science in Nursing 1,2 with specialization in Community Health Nursing. He currently resides with his family in Pulilan, Bulacan. At home, he is known as ‘tata’ as it is the first word he has spoken when he was an infant. At school, he is popularly called Aaron.

His father and mother namely Eric and Luisa were both Bulakeños respectively. He spend more time with his family whenever he is off to school. He is the eldest child/son in the brood of four and so for that, he carries a big responsibility and he really feel so much challenge and pressure about it.

Aaron is an admitted introvert serious type of boy guy not until he learned how to express his feelings publicly through the help of a blog. Until now, at times, he is still an introvert type. He enjoy the company of good friends and feels secured when he is with the people he love – his family and good friends.

Often, he claims to be bad, senseless, naughty, rebellious and all related stuff for he don’t want people to expect anything about him. He don’t want people to take advantage of him. But though, he proves the first statement incorrect through his actions especially when someone needs a broad shoulder to lean on.

He is a sporty type of person even though he happens to have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and a Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). He has been a tennis player, swimmer and runner for the seven years. it’s already a year since he quit sports due to his Congenital Heart Disease. Though his condition happens to be mild or no medical treatment/attention needed, he is still paying attention to his health since he got hospitalized seriously. At times and when there is chance, he gets to play badminton with his family, not as an athlete anymore but as an ordinary person and he enjoys it.

Aaron is currently a part of the Philippine National Red Cross team and has been a member since April 2006. He is a devoted nursing student and a nurse wannabe. He is part of the Class 2008 class and belongs to block A. He admits that he is a better member than being a sole leader of a large group like a class. He has received several invitations to run as college president of the Student-Government Organization but has refused to take it. He dreams of a just and progressive Philippines and believes that there is hope to make it possible. After he graduate and pass the Nursing Board Examination on 2008, it is already a decision that he will go to the United States to work for three to five years to work and earn money for him pursue his career to being a pediatrician. He plans to get a degree and license in the United States as well. After which, he will go back to his motherland as missionary is calling him to serve in places where health and medicine is a problem. He also plans to work in Philippine General Hospital as a nurse and a pediatrician. He is not a competent type of person as it is not in his nature anymore. it is his devotion and passion to help and serve mankind that he thinks an advantage with the rest.

He attended high school at St. Mary’s Academy College-Baliuag where he graduated with Blue Conduct Merit, Best in Christian Living, and Best in Penmanship Awards. He is an active member of Church Ministry Crusade and Teatrong Marian where he was recognized as best actor in 2003 and Best Supporting Actor in 2004. During his senior year, he was called ‘Brother James’ for he got a classmate named Aaron Jamante, a computer whiz. Aaron Jamante was called Jamante and Aaron James as Brother James. And also, they thought Aaron James to enter a seminary for his vocation that’s why his teachers and classmates added the word ‘brother’. He also has plan to enter a seminary some time in the future to get a degree in Philosophy.

Aaron attended several schools for his grade school namely De La Salle Santiago Zobel-Alabang, Baliuag Colleges University, and Sto. Cristo Primary School respectively. During his grade school years, he is active in joining extra-curricular activities. He is part and an active member of the Bulacan speech choir, Pulilan salinlahi, Sto. Cristo lyre and drum band, and Sto. Cristo swimming team. Often, he give the school and his family additional credits with the awards he get. He also has received second honor in a Bible Study class when he was in Grade IV. It is in his Elementary days that he feels so talented. He graduated at Sto. Cristo Primary School in 2000.
